CERTIFICATIONS
GOTS - Global Organic Textile Standard is an international standard for processing organic textiles. The standard considers every step in the production process - from cultivation and processing of certified organic fibers to manufacturing, packaging, and distribution. GOTS certification requires that a minimum of 70 percent of the product consists of certified organic fibers, and that all chemicals such as dyes meet specific environmental requirements. The certification is your guarantee that the textiles you purchase are both organic, free from chemicals, and produced in a socially responsible manner.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 - Standard 100 OEKO-TEX is one of the world's most recognized certifications for textiles tested for harmful substances. The various tests are conducted by independent OEKO-TEX partner institutions, taking into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances that may be harmful to human health. In many cases, the limits for STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements. For an article to achieve OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, every component of the respective article must be tested for harmful substances.
EU-ECO label - The EU Flower is the official European eco-label designed to reduce the overall environmental impact of production and consumption. The EU Flower considers the entire life cycle of the product and the environmental issues that arise along the way - benefiting people, the environment, and the Earth's resources. The eco-label sets specific requirements for individual types of products, but common to all of them is that they meet strict environmental and chemical requirements. The EU Flower is your guarantee that the products are manufactured with consideration for the environment by limiting the use of health and environmentally harmful substances and ensuring reduced water and air pollution.
FSC® - The FSC certification is an international labeling scheme aimed at ensuring responsible forest management. The requirements behind FSC certification encompass environmental, social, and economic responsibility. FSC works for the benefit of both nature and the livelihoods of people in the world's forest areas. Through forest certification, FSC contributes to ensuring favorable conditions for biodiversity, water environments, and forest workers worldwide. FSC is supported by recognized NGOs such as WWF and Forests of the World.
PACKAGING
At FLAPH, we always strive to minimize the use of packaging. When you receive a package from us, your items will first be wrapped in a 100% recycled PE-LD bag from the supplier. This bag ensures that the products are not damaged during transportation. Your items are then sent together in our Paptic shipping bag, which is a 100% plastic-free, sustainable, and biodegradable product. The material is made from wood-based cellulose fibers and produced with FSC®-certified paper, meaning the fibers come from trees sourced from sustainably managed forests and other controlled sources.
